Who does this race benefit?
A local Thanksgiving morning tradition, YMCA Run Thru the Woods, has supported local non-profits with the goal of strengthening The Woodlands, Spring and Oak Ridge communities for 29 years Learn More>

Will breakfast be provided this year?
Yes!  Complimentary bagels, fruit, muffins, treats and pizza will be available.

Are jogging strollers allowed?
Jogging strollers are allowed for the 1 mile, 3 mile and 5 mile races. For everyone’s safety, if you have a jogging stroller, you are required to line up in the back.

How do I get my race results?
For instant results and standing, runners can choose to have their results emailed or texted to them immediately after they cross the finish line. Participants can manage their online registration and opt in for the service, if they forgot at the time of registration.

What activities are there for kids?
In addition to the kids one mile race, entertainment provided on race day includes a balloon artist, mascots, and more.

Where can I get race day photos?

Race day photos will be made available through email. Be sure to ‘like’ The Woodlands Family YMCA Facebook page and the Run Through the Woods Facebook page for photos and to be the first to get details on next year’s race.

Where do I drop off my canned good item on race day?
All participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food item with them on Thanksgiving Day Morning. Collection barrels will be located in convenient strategic places throughout the parking area on race day morning.

Parking is available in The Mall parking lot and the parking garage on Six Pines adjacent to the Pavilion.
Due to road closures: Access The Mall from the I-45 Feeder Road or Access Parking Garage from Timberloch.
